Geographical Location:

Camp Essayons was located midway between Pak Chong and about 30 miles South of Korat South of Pak Thong Chai city. It was located on Route 23 (now highway 304). The Camp was primarily used in support of the construction of the Friendship Highway.

The village just outside the gate was Hlum Hin but the GI's referred to it as "Po Dang"
